150 Stories of Arrivals in Northumberland County
Artifacts, Vignettes and Memory: Cultural History on Immigration and Inclusion

This project involves the collection of 150 immigrant stories and images from all the municipalities and townships in Northumberland County. We hope that each participant will bring forward stories and memories of their immigrant experience (or that of their parent/grandparent).

The short stories will be accompanied by a professional photograph of you with a special momento that you either brought with you to Canada or that was important to you in your journey or settlement here.

The collection of stories and photographs will be turned into a picture/story book to celebrate Canada's 150th birthday throughout the year, and will be featured in local displays.

Please note that your contact information will be essential to clarify your participation in this project, or to direct the professional photographer to you in order to obtain the photograph. Your contact information will not be shared with anyone outside of this project.

Please also note that if you agree to participate in this project by filling out the questions below, you agree to have your name, story, and other information (excluding personal contact information) published in the book.

If you have questions or concerns about your participation in this project, please contact:
